Competitive selection is based on a comprehensive assessment of the candidate, including UNT scores (the higher, the better), submitted documents, interviews (if necessary), as well as the content, structure, and presentation of the abstract. The final stage includes an oral defence consisting of a presentation, responses to questions, and justification of the chosen topic.
All written work submitted as part of the scholarship competition will undergo mandatory plagiarism screening via the TURNITIN system. Please note: a high level of text originality is one of the evaluation criteria. Ensure your work is self-written and correctly references all used sources.

An abstract is a concise summary of the applicant’s research work, offering a clear overview of its essence. It should include:

Individual Online Interview and Research Presentation Defence
In the final stage, applicants undergo an individual online interview and defend their abstract before the selection committee.
Each candidate must:
Prepare a presentation based on their research topic, aligned with their chosen educational programme
Clearly outline the objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes of their research
Be prepared to justify the relevance of their topic and answer questions from the committee
It is recommended to use visual aids (slides, graphs, etc.) to support your defence. The duration of the presentation is no more than 15 minutes, followed by questions from the committee (up to 5 minutes).
